Three individuals who were arrested last month on felony drug charges had their arraignment on Monday at the Wrangell Court House.
29-year old Jacob Marshall and 39-year-old Cooper Seimears were initially charged with eight felony counts. The charges have since been reduced for each of them to one felony count for allegedly conspiring with the intent to promote and manufacture and/or deliver methamphetamine.
29-year old McKenna Harding is charged with one felony count for allegedly conspiring with the intent to promote and manufacture and/or deliver methamphetamine.
All three individuals are also facing a misdemeanor for allegedly possessing drugs. Additionally, Harding and Marshall are facing two misdemeanors for allegedly having drugs around children.
They all pled not guilty, meaning their cases will go to trial.
Their pre-trial hearing, also known as an omnibus hearing, is set for March 27. The actual trial for all of them is scheduled for May 5.
Marshall’s bond was reduced from $25,000 to $5,000 in cash. Harding was bailed out the day of her original arraignment Jan. 29.
Seimears is still waiting for a public defender to represent him and is scheduled for a status hearing on Thursday. When he gets an attorney the court will refile a bail request.
During Monday’s arraignment, he said, “I’ve been in here for 14 days and it seems like I should have a name by now.” By name, he meant attorney.
Right now, his bail bond is set for $25,000.
