KSTK is bringing back Talk on the Rock, the station’s local call in community show. It will be held on Tuesdays at 1:30. This week, host Colette Czarnecki spoke with Wrangell’s Economic Development Director, Kate Thomas, about the Home Wise Information Fair. The City and Borough of Wrangell is putting on the fair for anyone who is interested in buying a home.
The development of Alder Top Village is what inspired the Home Wise Information Fair to occur. Thomas first talks about the history of the Alder Top Village property, where a former boarding school for Native children existed. It closed in 1975. She then goes into depth about how the Home Wise Information Fair can benefit Wrangellites and who will be there for support.
The event will be held this Saturday at the James and Elsie Nolan Center from 9am to 12pm.
