Wrangell’s school district says that the community case of COVID-19 reported by city officials Thursday was an individual in the high school.
It did not specify whether it was a school district employee or student. But it said via social media post Friday that high school students are expected to return to school on Monday.
Wrangell’s schools have been on spring break since Thursday (April 1).
School officials added that the state Public Health Department is in the process of completing contact tracing interviews for the case. Calls to the school district weren’t immediately returned on Friday.
