The Assembly adds newcomer Drew Larabee. Long-term assembly members Julie Decker and Patti Gilbert ran for uncontested seats, so they’re both in for another three years. Anne Morrison was appointed last year to the board, and was re-elected for another year.
Wrangell’s school board has some new faces. It adds new members: Cyni Crary, Beth Heller, Patti Gilbert and Jeanie Arnold. Incumbent David Wilson was not re-elected by nine votes. But… with 40 absentee ballots still unopened – those results are tentative.
Wrangell voters also approved a slight tweak to the city’s charter: it removed references to Wrangell’s former hospital’s board of directors. That body became obsolete following the takeover by Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium last fall.
Final results will be certified Thursday.
