Talk on the Rock is KSTK’s live call-in show. Every Tuesday at 1pm we welcome a local guest to discuss events and topics of interest to our little island town. For this week’s episode, host June Leffler spoke to Leslie Cummings on living sober for 21 years. Leslie says drinking was not her problem, it was her solution. She spent many years using alcohol to cope. But eventually she did accept herself as an alcoholic and decided to be honest with herself on how she could change.
Leslie talks about how to get help, namely Alcoholics Anonymous, a program we have in our own town.
AA has meetings Tuesday (7 p.m.), Thursday (8 p.m.), and Friday (8 p.m.) evenings at the St. Philip’s Church.
