Talk on the Rock 030: Bruce Jamieson on the Friends of Maiti Nepal

 

 

Talk on the Rock is KSTK’s live call-in show. Every Tuesday at 1pm we welcome a local guest to discuss events and topics of interest to our little island town. For this week’s episode, host June Leffler spoke with Bruce Jamieson. Him and his wife Christie will be heading to Nepal and Tanzania for a months-long trip. Bruce visited Nepal in the late seventies. And he’s making his third trip there to do more than mountain climbing, though there will be some of that. Bruce is delivering warm clothes and monetary donations for The Friends of Maiti in Nepal. It’s a group that provides a safety net for women, and their children, who have recently escaped sex trafficking in India.
