Three candidates running for positions in Wrangell’s municipal election weren’t available for interviews on KSTK.
Current Wrangell Borough Assembly member, Stephen Prysunka, is running for a new three-year term on the assembly. He is running unopposed. Prysunka was unavailable for an interview.
Robert Rang, the CEO of the Wrangell Medical Center, is running for a two-year term on the Wrangell Public Schools board. Rang is running against Caitlin Cardinell and David Wilson. Rang declined to be interviewed because of scheduling conflicts.
David Wilson declined to be interviewed but gave some details on his history in Wrangell. He has lived in Wrangell for 19 years. He builds custom cabinets and furniture and is semi-retired. He has been a volunteer coach for Little League baseball and basketball.
Election Day is Oct. 3.
