Jamieson files as write-in candidate for borough assembly

There are two, three-year terms open on the Wrangell Borough Assembly in the Oct. 6 City and Borough of Wrangell regular elections.

Becky Rooney and David Powell are on the ballot for re-election to those seats, but Christie Jamieson recently filed as a write-in candidate.

Jamieson told KSTK’s Katarina Sostaric that her priorities for the community include maintaining the ferry system and keeping the Stikine River safe from transboundary mines.
