There are two three-year terms open on the Wrangell Public School Board in the Oct. 6 City and Borough of Wrangell regular elections.
Aleisha Mollen, Tammy Groshong and Rolland Howell are running for school board. Three candidates running for two seats make this school board election one of the few contested races in this year’s local elections.
Aleisha Mollen has been on the school board for one year. She told KSTK’s Katarina Sostaric that she wants to have a full three-year term on the board because she feels there’s still a lot of work she can do for the schools.
