The Wrangell School Board Monday reelected Susan Eagle as board president. The board also appointed Aleisha Mollen, Eagle’s opponent in the municipal elections, to fill a vacancy on the board until October 2015.
Rinda Howell is the vice president, and Tammy Groshong is the board secretary.
The school district’s report card to the public for the 2013-2014 school year shows Wrangell students performed above state averages in all academic categories.
Superintendent Patrick Mayer noted Stikine Middle School has a five-star rating on the Alaska School Progress Index. Wrangell High School and Evergreen Elementary are rated four out of five stars.
Those ratings are based on test scores, student attendance and graduation rates.
