Dan Ortiz was in Wrangell this week campaigning to represent Wrangell, Ketchikan, and surrounding communities in the Alaska State House of Representatives. He is the non-partisan candidate running against Republican Chere Klein for the House District 36 seat. Ortiz told KSTK’s Katarina Sostaric what he would bring to the candidacy if elected Nov. 4.
Editor’s Note: We removed a segment from this interview in which Ortiz states he would be able to join the majority or minority caucus if elected. Members of the majority brought it to our attention that Ortiz would have to ask to join the majority caucus, and approval is not guaranteed.
