The Borough Assembly met Tuesday night for a special meeting to discuss the borough’s lawsuit against Noel Selle-Rae and six of the recalled hospital board members. Borough manager Tim Rooney said no comments were made after the meeting, and nothing discussed is on the public record. The Assembly will hold another special meeting regarding the suit on Monday, August 6 at 5 pm.
The lawsuit was filed on July 11. Only six of the seven defendants were served papers. The six former board members are working with the same attorney. He filed a stipulation with the court which said the defendants have until Aug 10 to respond to the complaint. Noel Selle-Rae has not been served the complaint yet, but must be served within 120 days or the suit will drop against him and just rest on the other six defendants.
