WRANGELL, ALASKA Wrangell is trying to bring the AK-BC intertie back to life with state money. $100 million has been put into a state renewable energy grant program and the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) is accepting competitive applications for renewable energy projects. AEA is in charge of allocating the money starting this winter. At Tuesday night's meeting, the Wrangell Borough Assembly discussed submitting applications for three projects, one of which is the AK-BC intertie.
